Dear Wombs of the World Community,
Mother's Day is TOMORROW. Are you ready to shower those who mother tirelessly with love and gratitude? If you find this holiday emotionally stirring, consider this a big, warm hug from me.
The world feels incredibly heavy lately. How are we still standing—numbness or resilience? Out of our collective trauma, we can dream and scheme the pathways towards a much needed maternal health revolution.
When I speak of revolution, I'm not just tossing around a buzzword; I'm invoking the need for a profound transformation of the very fabric of society. To me, a revolution in maternal health isn't about subtle changes or incremental updates—it's about a radical reimagining of how we view, support, and honor birth and motherhood across cultures.
This revolution is about dismantling outdated beliefs and practices that no longer serve us and replacing them with approaches that empower, respect, and uplift every mother and child. It's about valuing the ancestral traditional practices as much as the precision of modern-day science. It’s a call to return to a world where community, care, and connection are not optional luxuries but essential foundations of the birthing experience.
By calling this work revolutionary, I underline our commitment to not only change outcomes but to shift paradigms—to make the act of giving life as respected and supported as it is miraculous. This is the heart of our mission: a complete, unyielding overhaul of the status quo, driven by the belief that every birth, every mother, every child deserves nothing less than revolutionary care.
However, our revolution needs funding 😅...
Here's How You Can Help:
Our META fundraiser (on Instagram and Facebook) aims for $10k, and we're already a third of the way there. Even a donation of $5 or $10 can make a huge difference and help boost our visibility (it is all about the algorithm). If you can contribute this Mother's Day, please do.
"Wombs of the world is truly an amazing organization whom is changing birth one delivery at a time. As a 20 year labor and delivery nurse I learned many things that will be a part of every delivery I do from now on and a little piece of the ancestal knowledge of Ecuador will spread throughout the world. Wombs of the World is also helping the communities they work in by empowering the women, who are then able to have an income and thus improve their families' lives. All of this is so inspiring and such a valuable way to spend your money and time. Not to mention the incredible women that chose to have this kind of adventure and you get to learn from them and enjoy the experience together 😊"
I am absolutely in love with this beautiful community that is forming. Thank you for being part of this journey. This unification of passionate, curious birth enthusiasts is unprecedented. Together, we can forge a global connection and rebuild a world where every birth is celebrated, every mother supported, and every child welcomed with love.
Revolutionizing maternal health, one birth a time.
With endless gratitude,
Charlotte & the WotW Team
PS: Fun news! Jenny Ingram, the organizational brilliant brain behind my flurry of ideas, is embarking on her first trip to Ecuador with us on Monday!! If we're a bit slow in responding next week, it's because Jenny is experiencing the magic firsthand! Bare with us!! Thank youuuu.
