In every country I have worked in, in every clinic, every home, every circle of women, there is one thread that remains constant: the deep, aching need for connection. For community. For someone to say, I see you, I am here, you are not alone. We were never meant to do birth, postpartum, or life in isolation. Women have always cared for women. Families have always been held by communities. Birth has always been witnessed, not managed in solitude.
